circuit breaker retrofit
MCI specialises in installation, maintenance, refurbishment, current injection, circuit breaker retrofits and surveys on all types of electrical equipment and control systems.
CIRCUIT BREAKER Installation and Maintenance
MCI offers a retrofit kit for the installation of new Schneider Merlin Gerin Masterpact NT or NW circuit breakers to replace existing obsolete breakers regardless of whether they are ABB Sace Novomax, Siemens 3WN, Terasaki, AEG and Melin Gerin Selpac, DA or Compact.
The obsolete breakers and the chassis can be removed and replaced with the new Air Circuit Breaker and special chassis. There is no need to change the bus bars as the chassis is a specially adapted Masterpact chassis which is custom made for the existing configuration. This means there is no change to the existing bus bars, which saves considerable time for the installation.
MCI offers a Plug and Play solution for the installation of new Schneider Merlin Gerin Masterpact NW circuit breaker to replace the existing obsolete Merlin Gerin MW Masterpact range of circuit breaker. This allows change out of the breaker using the existing chassis with no need for isolation.
MCI provides a solution to retrofit existing obsolete Fixed Moulded Case Circuit Breakers up to 2500A. These are replaced with the Schneider NT/ MW range of withdrawable Air Circuit Breakers, which allows removal of the new ACB for maintenance and current injection testing without isolation of the main Switchboard.
MCI offers a service to carry out a survey to establish all the requirements for replacing obsolete breakers.
In addition, MCI carries out primary current injection testing on all types of MCB’s, MCCB’s and ACB’s. This can be completed in house or at client locations onshore or offshore. We have two purpose built stainless steel enclosures incorporating all test instruments required, including Megger Oden AT Primary Injection Sets.
MCI offer a service for the installation and replacement of existing plant. Our BS EN ISO 9001 Quality Management System provides the foundation of our installation and replacement process. If you are looking for a standard or bespoke system, refurbished for your particular needs, then MCI can cater for all your requirements.
